Announcing Prime Vendor Contract Renewal with Princeton HealthCare System

NEW ROCHELLE, NEW YORK April 30, 2010. MMS – A Medical Supply Company announced the fourth consecutive renewal as Prime Vendor to Princeton HealthCare System.   The contract naming MMS as the primary supplier of medical/surgical products and equipment to Princeton HealthCare System is for an additional three years, through March, 2013.  It is estimated that this contract represents over $18,000,000 in revenue over its life and includes Princeton HealthCare’s multiple point of care locations including University Medical Center at Princeton Surgical Center and Merwick Care Center.

With this contract renewal, University Medical Center at Princeton is transitioning to a Low-Unit-of-Measure service model in which MMS supplies most hospital departments with “just-in-time” product (daily deliveries) to individual clinical areas.   This logistics strategy provides Princeton HealthCare System optimal efficiencies in inventory management.   Care sites other than the hospital itself will continue to receive traditional, bulk, service.

Michael Antoniades, Vice President of Operations at University Medical Center at Princeton, states “MMS has repeatedly proven that they are as dedicated to assuring the quality of delivered healthcare in New Jersey as we are.  They are active, and proactive, Partners throughout our organization.”

“MMS has been working with Princeton for over thirteen years.” says Gina Marchese, Vice President, General Manager of MMS. “This kind of continuity allows us to really understand the dynamics of their specific organization and the different needs of their Clinicians and Support Staff at each of their locations.  We are proud to partner with such an outstanding and forward thinking organization”.
